Three compacts, five shades, one simple solution
Oh yes, a woman’s purse – a place of unimaginable chaos and beauty all in one. Somewhere in the big abyss at the bottom of my purse my eye shadows lie scattered to oblivion. For a long time now I have given up trying to solve the ambiguity: Which eye shade will look the prettiest with my hazel eyes? Which colors can I pair together without looking lady gaga?
And then, like providence from above, I was introduced to Eye Steppes Eye Shadow by Jane Iredale. I was very eager to try it out. The packaging looked stunning! Design- unique!
Eye Steppes are three compacts that open up like a staircase to reveal five shades and a mirror. All of the shades are handpicked by Jane and designed to best compliment brown, blue or green eyes. No more confusion which shades are right for me. I simply pick the goBrown compact, which best matches my hazel eyes, and I can be sure that I’m choosing the perfect shades for myself.
When I opened the Eye Steppes compacts I was surprised. The shades were matched in an unexpected array of color. From Allure and Iris to Smoke and Forest. Would I ever be bold enough to pair together Licorice and Blue Sky or Oyster and Swiss Chocolate? Probably not. But I trusted that Jane Iredale, a brilliant founder behind the Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics, knew what she was doing. After all, Jane was the very first to offer a full line of mineral based makeup that is actually beneficial for the skin. Each shade is long wearing, hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, without talc, parabens, perfume, chemical additives, and dye.
I often heard that mineral eyeshadow left the eyelids oily or that it caked into the lid crease after a short while or that the color faded. But Jane Iredale Eye Steppes is the most luxurious mineral makeup I have ever tried. Even after a full day of wearing it, it still looks great – the shades stay put for gorgeous, crease-free, long-lasting eye color. Just absolutely perfect. The application is effortless and wonderful. The shadow goes on like silk and cashmere. So soft! Also, I used to carry 3-4 different and separately packed shades with me; not anymore.
