Best and Worst In Diaper Rash Creams! -
Poop happens! And when it does, you have to be equipped with the right tools: diapers, creams, wipes, and… information. As you may have heard by now, dozens of leading body care products for babies and children contain toxic chemicals. So, information is what you need if you happen to be a parent who is determined to using only gentle ingredients on your beautiful kids. Well, here is some help on the way. This time I present to you the best and the worst in Baby Diaper Creams.
Badger Diaper Cream is a powerful little diaper cream. It’s safe, soothing on baby’s skin, and it works. It has the subtle scent of chamomile and calendula. These are very safe herbs, traditionally used to calm and soothe babies, and ideal for baby skin care. This is also an excellent product for people with sensitive skin or with skin conditions. For my babies, I used it to prevent and soothe the itching associated with diaper rash and cradle cap… can also be used for a soothing baby massage. I absolutely love this balm!
California Baby products are definitely amazing, especially if you are concerned about exposing your child to numerous unnecessary harsh ingredients found in personal baby care products. California Baby Diaper Area Wash is yet another great product that cleans those lil bums wonderfully well. I have found that it does a better job than wet wipes alone, (although I have to give thumbs up to Seventh Generation Chlorine free baby wipes). Without any artificial fragrance, Baby Diaper Area Wash still leaves skin soft and sweet smelling. It contains organic tea tree oil, and plant and flower extracts such as calendula, witch hazel, and aloe vera- ingredients known to be gentle on baby’s delicate skin. You can spray it directly onto baby’s skin, or moisten a cotton toilet paper or washcloth to gently clean your baby’s diaper area. Would you like to have skin as soft as your baby’s behind? Well, listen to this: Jessica, the developer of California Baby’s products, recommends the wash to be used as a facial cleanser as well. You wanna give it a try, and let me know!?
Diaper Cream By Nature’s Paradise is another lovely diaper cream I found to be very effective in soothing irritated skin. Few of my friends claim that this cream has worked for their eczema and/or severely dry skin. It contains Shea Butter which is mostly vitamin E which is very moisturizing. It is also enriched with Sesame Oil which is a natural anti bacterial and anti inflammatory agent and for thousands of years has been known and used as a healing oil. This diaper cream has a pleasant coconut smell, and is absolutely toxic-free, so you won’t be exposing your baby to harsh chemicals.
And last but not least, my favorite way to treat diaper rash – let your toddler/baby run or crawl around sans diaper for as long as you can.
